After outlining the current situation and the measures taken to secure the gas supply, Thierry Trouvé recalled the key role played by the networks in the energy transition and the importance of bolstering synergies with France’s regions, in particular to speed up the development of renewable gases that contribute to energy sovereignty.

The President of Régions de France stressed that expanding renewable gas can only happen if efforts are made to simplify the process.

The main lines of cooperation in the 2022-2024 agreement meet the needs of decarbonising the economy and developing gas mobility and biogas. They relate to energy planning, the development of renewable gas and production systems, hydrogen development and the implementation of efficient H2 and CO2 transportation logistics.
