Feedback on the 2022 apprenticeship campaign

Apprentice schemes are a key issue for GRTgaz. This year once again, over 100 apprentices joined us across all trades.

Apprenticeship is an important way to pre-empt future hiring needs and ease the transition from one generation to the next. The apprentices selected during the 2022 campaign make up 7.5% of the company’s employees.

Alternance 2022 en chiffres : répartition par territoire

Six key figures

  • 4.6% of new talents are studying for a “professional” Baccalaureate*
  • 25.3% are Bac+2
  • 15% are Bac+3
  • 69% of new apprentices are Bac+5
  • 51.05% of hires are women
  • 9 apprentices are registered disabled workers

*The Baccalaureate is the French high school leaving exam. “Bac +2”, “Bac +3” etc. refers to the number of years spent in higher education after passing the Baccalaureate.

GRTgaz: consistently committed to diversity

GRTgaz has made diversity (inclusion, gender equality and equal opportunities) a key driver in its development. This is shown in particular in the company’s firm commitment to gender equality and people with disabilities

Making apprenticeships open to women

GRTgaz believes that apprenticeship is an excellent recruitment pool for future job vacancies, and the company is committed to enrolling women in its apprentice schemes.

“Our industry is not only for men, and our professions, including technical positions, are open to men and women alike.”

Béatrice

Head of the GRTgaz Recruitment and Career Management Department

Half of the 150 apprentices hired in 2022 were women. To ensure respect for the principle of fairness, GRTgaz strives to make its offers inclusive.

Support for training and jobs for young disabled people

GRTgaz’s business plan includes values linked to diversity and equal opportunities. Integrating disabled people is therefore one of the company’s primary goals. This year’s apprentice intake included nine young disabled people.

Key factors in GRTgaz’s success

The success of our recruitment campaign was due in particular to:

  • regular contact with educational establishments,
  • partnerships (Elles Bougent, Agefiph, Arpejh),
  • targeted local actions.

These new hires were the fruit of the effort and commitment of everyone involved (HR, managers, tutors).

HappyTrainees: a new label for GRTgaz!

For the seventh year running, we were ranked among the best companies for interns and apprentices.

This result can be put down to the special relations of trust between our interns and apprentices and their tutors and managers.
