Covid-19

A message from Thierry Trouvé, CEO of GRTgaz, recorded on 6 May from the GRTgaz logistics platform in Châteauroux, on prevention measures surrounding the resumption of operations as part of the lifting of the Covid-19 lockdown:

The fieldwork necessary to prepare for GRTgaz's resumption of operations began on 27 April 2020. From 11 May, in strict compliance with the health conditions set out by the public authorities, GRTgaz entered a new phase of its resumption of operations. This involved:

  • the resumption of GRTgaz maintenance and servicing operations for all of our teams working in the field;
  • the gradual reopening of worksites;
  • the vast majority of service roles being performed remotely.

Faced with a probable increase in the pace of activity in coming weeks, GRTgaz recalls that all works carried out near to facilities by local authorities, companies or private individuals must be declared prior to any action via the Inervis platform.

GRTgaz observes a gradual upturn in consumption on its network for April.

The impact of the health crisis on industrial customers’ consumption (around -20% at the beginning of April) has gradually reduced throughout the month, reaching around -10% by month’s end.
Industrial customers who informed GRTgaz of a stop in consumption by their sites have now in large part restarted operations, either totally or partially.

As part as this resumption, your regular sales contacts remain on hand for you, either by phone or by email (email contact details are provided below). We ask that you guarantee GRTgaz teams ongoing access to our facilities in the event that work may need to be carried out.

We also remind you that the “Urgence gaz” (Gas emergency) toll-free numbers are only for use in an emergency.
