The event, which focused on the winter season, gas news and decarbonization solutions, was attended by 130 people, welcomed by Pierre Cotin, GRTgaz Customer and Network Optimization Director. This 2024 edition was also an opportunity for Sandrine Meunier, GRTgaz's Director General, to meet our customers and exchange with them over lunch.
In addition to GRTgaz experts, we were pleased to welcome two external speakers. Emmanuel Tillous-Borde, General Manager - Head of Energy Purchasing at ArcelorMittal, presented the challenges, strategy and conditions for success of ArcelorMittal's decarbonization program. This very enlightening testimony also highlighted the crucial role that GRTgaz's networks will play in achieving the steel champion's objectives.
Aude Filippi, Director Business Development Gas & Sustainability Markets at EEX - European Energy Exchange AG, explained the operation of the guarantees of origin register, which is essential to the development of biomethane.
