Every year, the company takes on over 150 new employees. To help with their integration, GRTgaz invites these new arrivals to “Embrace the e-experience”. Held over several session, this 100% digital seminar is a way for them to find out about the company and its business lines.

Holding a seminar to officially welcome new employees is vital to speed up their integration and allow them to get to know each other better. HR development manager Rita JULIE explains how the seminar works. Interview!

What does the new arrivals seminar involve?

It is vital that we successfully integrate these new arrivals who will represent the future of our company. This is why we hold the integration seminar every year. The days include:

  • talks by the company's directors, who present GRTgaz’s different activities,
  • participative workshops coordinated by the business teams.

It’s a chance for our new talent to create a network within the company and also to find out about our business lines.

What changes did GRTgaz make to hold the seminar this year?

The health crisis disrupted the welcome and integration processes of previous years. We re-examined our practices and focused on digital solutions.

In December 2020, we held a first digital session via Teams - a secure collaborative platform designed for chatting, attending meetings, making calls and working together within the same virtual space.

Even in a digital format, the operation was a success, indicating that the exchanges worked very well!

New arrivals testimonials:

“This seminar gave me a better understanding of the GRTgaz business lines and the challenges facing the company.
I really enjoyed the event. Providing this introduction for people starting their careers at GRTgaz seems a worthwhile thing to do.”

Valentina Hincapie

Suppliers team manager

“The seminar for new arrivals is a really useful way for us to discover and get a solid impression of GRTgaz’s activities, environment and business lines. It also strengthens the bond and the feeling of being part of the company. When there is widespread teleworking, I think that it is even more important to create and maintain this link with everyone joining the GRTgaz adventure!”
