GRTgaz Customers meetings (Les Rendez-vous clients)

On June 15, GRTgaz organised a 100% digital customer event dedicated to the decarbonisation of industry.

In France, nearly 20% of greenhouse gas emissions are generated by industrial activities. Decarbonising this sector is essential to achieve carbon neutrality. But it is also a performance economic lever in the medium term at the European and global levels. Greater recognition of the role that gas infrastructures will play in addition to electrification to decarbonise industry is necessary to clarify the investment decisions that will make it possible to achieve the 35% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 set by the SNBC.

On June 15, 2021, GRTgaz mobilized all its industrial customers. This represent one third of the energy consumption of industry in France, to review the decarbonisation levers accessible with the existing gas transmission system (renewable gases, CO2 capture and storage, hydrogen).
