European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) 2022: here we go!

European Sustainable Development Week is upon us. To mark the event, GRTgaz is raising its hand with a series of publications recalling its CSR commitments and practical actions.

From 18 September to 8 October 2022, GRTgaz is focusing its efforts on European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW). Many initiatives are being rolled out to promote sustainable development throughout Europe as part of this event. Faced with the climate emergency, and with an eye on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG17), GRTgaz is seeking to promote dialogue, lend an ear to its stakeholders, and collaborate in working towards to an energy system that is safe, affordable and climate neutral.

The French government has set out an eight-year roadmap - “Agenda 2030” - to hit these targets. Events are being held in France and worldwide throughout the year to promote day-to-day actions by everyone, at their own level.

European Sustainable Development Week, which runs from 18 September to 8 October, is a highlight of these yearly events. Its targeted encounters are aimed at promoting sustainable development, raising widespread awareness about the challenges involved, and committing to take action, as GRTgaz is firm in its belief that renewable gas and low-carbon hydrogen are the keys to a sustainable future.

GRTgaz is using social media throughout ESDW to confirm its commitments via the practical actions it has already carried out, such as recovering up to 98% of waste. The goal is for the gas system to be carbon neutral by 2050. 
That’s our ambition. And achieving it is in our hands.
