Celebrating 50 years of the Camargue regional nature park!

While the European Sustainable Development Week is taking place in France from 18 September to 8 October, the network of Regional Nature Parks, thanks to the support of GRTgaz, and the services of the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region, have designed an exhibition to raise the general public’s awareness of these themes and show how action can be taken through promoting concrete projects.

On the occasion of the 50-year anniversary of the Camargue regional nature park, you will be able to see this exhibition on Saturday 25 September at the Mas du Pont de Rousty in Arles, from 10:00 to 18:00. Find out all about the Camargue regional nature park and discover its occupations and the actions that it takes in the area alongside many partners.

With a land footprint characterised by 32,000 km of pipeline and its easement strips and nearly 10,000 surface installations on over 5,000 landtake areas, biodiversity is an important CSR issue for GRTgaz. The company seeks to reconcile the development and maintenance of its facilities with the preservation and maintenance of ecosystems. A real challenge since 8,000 km of pipelines are located in protected natural areas. GRTgaz has renewed its commitment in 2021 to be a “Enterprise committed to Nature – Acte4Nature France,” an initiative that aims to mobilise companies on the question of their direct and indirect impacts, dependencies and opportunities for action in favour of nature.
