Thierry Trouvé reappointed Chief Executive Officer of GRTgaz

The Board of Directors of GRTgaz has today decided to reappoint Thierry Trouvé as CEO of GRTgaz for a second 4-year term.

Portrait of Thierry TrouvéThis renewal follows the deliberation of France's Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) of 6 April 2017, which found that Thierry Trouvé's appointment satisfies the conditions set by the Energy Code.

After ten years of unprecedented investment in gas infrastructure, Thierry Trouvé enters this new term with the desire to put the gas transmission network at the service of the energy transition and to consolidate GRTgaz's place among Europe's leading infrastructure operators.

Aged 55 and an engineer graduate of the Corps des Mines, Thierry Trouvé has been CEO of GRTgaz since 26 April 2013. Thierry Trouvé began his career with the French Ministry of Defence before holding various positions with the RATP (1990), then with the Ministry for Industry in Nord-Pas de Calais region (1996).

In 2000 he joined the French Energy Regulator (CRE) as director of the electricity market and public service. In 2003 he was named Pollution and risk prevention director with the Ministry for the Ecology and Sustainable Development. In 2006 he became Deputy Managing Director of GRTgaz, before being appointed CEO of Elengy in 2008.

Thierry Trouvé is a member of the Board of Directors of ENTSOG (the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas).
