Keyrus is assisting GRTgaz with innovative and agile organisation of its DataLab

Levallois Perret, on 11 September 2018 – Keyrus, international actor in the areas of Data Intelligence, Digital and Management Consultancy & Business Transformation, has assisted GRTgaz, the main carrier of gas in France, in putting in place a new way of organising its DataLab.

This cooperation has resulted in an innovative and flexible organisation which promotes collaboration between the IT department and the company’s other business lines and which prioritises projects according to their value contribution.

The DataLab now numbers 35 people with a range of profiles and expertise. Based on work co-created with the team, the organisation proposed by Keyrus strengthens collective work, ensures an increase in the skills of each person and develops innovation for data exploitation projects. As support for the team, the experts of Keyrus have implemented individual coaching measures which have brought about real changes in mindsets. At the same time, training in agile methods has enabled the entire DataLab team to come together around new methodologies.

The mission of GRTgaz’s DataLab is to develop the performance of the business lines through the exploitation and enhancement of data. The company’s technical department has for example benefited from DataLab’s skills in order to develop a new predictive maintenance tool for gas transmission pipes. Another example of a project that has materialised, regards the data relating to biomethane which are now accessible on the company’s website in the form of dashboards updated at least once a month.

« We are proud to have assisted GRTgaz in this innovative project of creating a Data Entity », Catherine Grizel, Transformation & Innovation Associate Director at Keyrus concluded. « The relationship of trust which has been created between our teams, as well as the “Test & Learn” method applied to the organisation, has allowed us to put in place an agile and scalable organisation which meets GRTgaz’s ambitions regarding data »

« The members of the team are more involved and are active players in the team’s success because they are more empowered in the projects. » Valérie Laffite, Manager of GRTgaz’s DataLab added.
