Donation to three national solidarity associations

Covid-19 epidemic in France: GRTgaz and its employees are donating € 300,000 to three national solidarity associations

To show their support for care staff and for those people most vulnerable to the Covid-19 epidemic, GRTgaz and its employees have decided to make a donation of €300,000 divided equally between the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France, the public aid charity "Secours Popular Français" and the homeless charity Emmaus France. This decision follows a collective agreement with the social partners about leave and reduced working times relating to the Covid-19 epidemic.

"Through this gesture, GRTgaz employees are proud to support charitable organisations such as Emmaüs France, the Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France, and Secours Populaire Français, which are heavily involved in combating the Covid-19 crisis. High-quality social dialogue allows us to resolutely and effectively express the values of solidarity and public service that we share," stressed Thierry Trouvé, Managing Director of GRTgaz.

La Fondation Hôpitaux de France - Hôpitaux de Paris

The Fondation Hôpitaux de France - Hôpitaux de Paris will include this donation in a Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund aimed at improving both the well-being of caregivers and patient conditions in hospitals and nursing homes. In practical terms, this money will be used to purchase medical equipment, equipment for fitting out caregivers’ rest rooms (electrical appliances, rest furniture, armchairs) and everyday consumables (masks, lab coats, gloves, overcoats).

Secours populaire français

Secours Populaire Français will use this donation to sustain its solidarity operations throughout France. In particular, it will be used to purchase essential sanitary equipment, as well as food and hygiene equipment for those most in need.

Emmaüs France

Emmaüs France will allocate this sum to the groups most in difficulty, following two months of lockdown and commercial closures, as part of their continued effort to provide initial and ongoing support throughout France.

For the first time in 70 years, Emmaüs has needed to call on the generosity of all to prevent the most vulnerable from returning to the streets alone and without resources in the face of a deadly virus.
