Jean-François PLAZIAT is Projects & Ingineering Director, Projects Domain responsible since September 1,2018.

  • Graduated to the École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) and École Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs de l’institut français du pétrole (ENSPM), Jean-François Plaziat began his career in 1987 at Gaz de France in the Transport Production Department as a design engineer in Nantes and then IT project manager in Rouen.

  • In 1993, he joined Gaz de France's International Division to deal with projects in Central Europe, then the underground tanks department in 1997.

  • After managing the storage expertise at the Centre d’Expertise Opérationnel et Services (CEOS) in 2000, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Centre Acheminements et Mouvements Gaz (CAMG), then Deputy Director of the Rhône-Mediterranean Region, the creation of GRTgaz in 2005.

  • In 2011 he emigrated as Director of Maintenance within the Comex of the company Nordstream, a Russian-European consortium that build and operates the large offshore gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea, a new route to directly supply Europe with Russian gas.

  • Since 2016, Jean-François Plaziat has been GRTgaz's Projects & Engineering Director, and since 1 September 2018 he has also taken on the role of Head of the Projects Area.
