GRTgaz’s sustainable development approach reflects GDF SUEZ Group’s policy, with specific measures relating to its role as a natural gas transmission operator. The aim of these measures is to :

• contribute to the opening up of the natural gas market by developing the transmission system,
• increase the safety of gas facilities and maintain the necessary skills.

Every year, a sustainable development action plan is adopted within GRTgaz. It lists the initiatives that contribute to sustainable development both within processes and within the strategic plans implemented by operational units.

These initiatives are monitored and targets are measured every year using specific indicators within each process.
